CICA August webinar

CICA 2017 International Conference
The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has announced that the CICA 2017 International Conference March 12-14, 2017 will be at at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego, California. The theme will be 'Captives: Defying Disruption' and will focus on the changes business are facing -- from disruptive economies and technologies to finding and attracting the next captive insurance workforce. Conference participants will learn about the benefits and risks of these disruptions and how to create effective strategies to take advantage of the changes.

The Asian Captive Conference
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia   The Asian Captive Conference will be returning for its second year on August 1-2, 2018. The conference is dedicated to the development of self-insurance in the region and is a collaboration between Labuan International Business and Financial Centre and the Labuan International Insurance Association. This year's conference themed "Challenges of Self-Insurance: Transparency and Digital Disruption" aims to highlight the challenges and disruptors risk managers are facing from technology. At the same time, risk managers are also required to meet the growing demands of tax transparency and substance brought about by multilateral organisations and Regulators. The conference is expected to share the best practices and strategies relating to various self-insurance models, risk retention approaches and domicile selection adopted by multinational companies and industry professionals. Cayman Captive Forum 2016

2014 Connecticut Captive Insurance Day at the Capital
Hartford, Connecticut   Connecticut Legislative Office Building   This is our opportunity as an industry to meet with state legislators to discuss the importance of captive insurance for Connecticut. The day will begin with a breakfast with key legislators and their staff, as well as senior members of the Insurance Department. An informational hearing with the Connecticut General Assembly's Insurance and Real Estate Committee will follow the breakfast. Our day will conclude with a Town Hall style question and answer session with John Thomson, Connecticut's chief captive regulator. This event is open to all.
