Barclays boosts Isle of Man captive client team

Barclays has promoted James Clegg to the role of captive insurance relationship manager in the Isle of Man.

Working within the captive client team, Clegg will support local captive insurance manager and companies with banking, investment, credit and cash management services.

He has worked in the banking sector for 16 years, and joined Barclays nine years ago as a technical specialist in the credit operations department before moving to the captives team.

Furthermore, Barclays has also appointed Aaron Hawley as a business banking relationship manager, to support local business clients with solutions for day-to-day cash management, foreign exchange, lending and investment needs. He joins from Lombard Manx.

“Aaron and James are specialists in their areas and have extensive knowledge of the local business landscape which will be a great asset for our clients and the team so we’re very pleased to have them onboard," said Gareth Rowlands, head of business banking and captives at Barclays in the Isle of Man.

“Both will help us build on the positive momentum we are seeing across the business as we invest in the private bank and overseas services business to deliver future growth.”
