CWC boosts captive insurance division in Guernsey through appointment

Cutts-Watson Consulting (CWC), a captive insurance advisory firm, has appointed Graham Powell as a consultant based in its Guernsey office, to strengthen its captive insurance offering.

Powell will work centrally with the CWC team as it responds to the diverse and ever-changing needs of its clients.

Powell has made his career in the Guernsey finance industry. For over 35 years he held a senior position at the largest captive manager in Europe.

During that time it licensed the first Guernsey protected and incorporated cell insurance companies and has built them into brand leaders.

As a practitioner, Powell’s own diverse portfolio of clients were accustomed to new ideas and techniques being introduced on a regular basis.

“No stone being left unturned in the unceasing quest for new lines of business. As a result of so many years at the ‘coal face’ Graham has a unique insight into every aspect of captive management. This wealth of experience will now be channeled into helping CWC’s clients realize the full potential of their captives,” CWC’s press release said.
