Gibraltar Finance Centre expands its team

The Gibraltar government has announced the appointment of a new business development lead for insurance and one for private client sector growth within the Gibraltar Finance Centre.

Michael Ashton will be responsible for developing new insurance business for Gibraltar. He previously worked for 15 years in the insurance industry in the City of London where he held senior management roles including chief operating officer of ACE Global Markets. Since 2002 he has been involved in early stage businesses including a motor vehicle insurance company headquartered in Gibraltar.

Paul Astengo joins the team with the task of promoting growth in the private client sector for Gibraltar. Paul has over 30 years banking experience gained in various offices of Barclays in Gibraltar, Spain and London and more recently with NatWest Offshore in Gibraltar.
