Vermont unveils theme for captive conference

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) will be holding its annual captive insurance conference on August 8-10.

The conference has been named ‘Mission: Possible!’, signifying the tools available at the conference in aid of the advancement of companies’ business missions and risk management strategies.

Over 1000 captive professionals from all levels of the industry are expected to attend.

The conference itself will attract captive insurance specialists whose discussions will span from the more basic to more complex topics.

Vermont has nearly 600 active captive insurance companies domiciled in the state, including 48 of the Fortune 100 and 18 of the 30 companies that comprise the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Keynote speaker Matthew Luhn, one of Pixar's original story creators and animators, will speak on cultivating creativity in the workplace and embracing failure as a necessary part of the creative process.
