Acer captive gains Guernsey ESG accreditation

Electronics giant Acer Group’s captive AGP Insurance (Guernsey) has adopted the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) ESG framework. ESI Monitor has validated its adherence to the four pillars.

Released in May 2021, the framework aims to help member organisations manage environmental, social and governance opportunities and risks and deliver a positive ESG impact. It sets out four pillars: To embed ESG within the decision making and governance structure; risks underwritten must contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals; investments held should contribute to achieving sustainable development goals; and insurers must publicly disclose how they have met the framework’s requirements.

Dunant Re IC Limited, an incorporated cell of Replexus ICC managed by Aon Insurance Managers, became the  first to gain the accreditation last September.
