AXA XL promotes three in its US risk management team

Jason Mandik has been promoted to head of AXA XL’s Chicago-based US risk management team in the US central zone.

In addition, Jessica Carpita was named senior casualty underwriter for US risk management, and Sandra Clarke becomes national practice leader for temporary staffing.

Chris Kopser, president of primary casualty for the Americas, said all three individuals had contributed to the success of AXA XL’s US risk management portfolio in the US central zone.

Mandik, a former broker, joined AXA XL in May 2019 as a senior commercial casualty underwriter for US risk management, specialising in workers' compensation, commercial auto and general liability. He now oversees a team of regional underwriters and manages the greater Chicago-area and upper Midwest, reporting to Kopser.

Carpita joined AXA XL in 2013 as a property underwriting assistant and serves as the Chicago chair of the AXA XL corporate social responsibility team.

Clarke spent the last two years as a senior casualty underwriter for US risk management at AXA XL and has held several diverse roles in her decade of insurance experience, including underwriting, claims and as a casualty broker.

Carpita and Clarke report to Mandik. All three of the promoted individuals are based in Chicago.
