NCCIA issues final call for 2023 conference proposals


The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) has issued a final call for proposed topics for the NCCIA’s 2023 annual conference.

Proposals must be submitted for consideration by the committee not later than October 25 via the NCCIA’s website.

The theme for the 2023 Conference, which will be on May 7-10, is ‘Elevate’. The theme celebrates the new location of the conference, Asheville and the increasing importance and prominence of North Carolina as a captive domicile.

Panels should consist of three individuals representing different companies. The Committee is in particular looking for panels that contain captive owners or their employees. Topics that will be given special consideration include:

  • Drug and Alcohol Programs
  • Parametrics
  • Risk Management, Policy Development, Loss Control
  • Covid Related Topics
  • Tax Developments
  • Cyber Security Issues
  • Director & Officers and Other Hard Market Challenges
  • Recession Related Developments
  • Evolution of ESG
  • Best Practices in Claims Handling
  • The Rise of Protected Cell Captives
  • Pros and Cons of RRG’s

Preparers of accepted proposals will be notified the week of November 7th. Proposals become the property of NCCIA upon submission to the committee. A committee member will be assigned to work with each panel accepted by the committee.
