Hartwell appoints new VP

Hartwell Insurance, the Nashville, Tennessee, headquartered protected cell captive insurance company, has hired  Tyler Maconaghy as its new vice president.

Maconaghy joins from Oxford Risk Management Group, an alternative risk and captive insurance research and consulting company in Maryland, where he was a consultant. He previously held roles at Maximum Independent Brokerage, Associate Property Broker and Allstate.

Hartwell Insurance Company was created in 2016 Tennessee’s captive insurance by former Lloyd’s brokers, Roland Horton, its president, and William Harris, its chief operating officer. 

“In a market where it is becoming progressively harder to insure property in weather-prone states, Hartwell has created an unmatched solution,” Maconaghy wrote on LinkedIn, announcing his new role. 

“Hartwell was founded in order to create innovative solutions to Insurance problems using the tools available to us as a PCCIC. We offer clients unique insurance solutions to otherwise almost insurmountable problems.”
