Tennessee insurance department bolsters team with hire

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance has appointed Mariam Anwar as a Captive Insurance Specialist. 

She joins after three years working as an accountant at the TN Department of Military, where she prepared monthly and quarterly reports, served as liaison with internal and external stakeholders and maintained departmental accounting databases. 

Before her time with the state, she was a Certified Tax Preparer serving the United Way of Greater Nashville, Voluntary Income Tax Assistance program, for three years, and a team member with Truist/Suntrust Bank.
