CCIF panellists announced for conference sessions

More details have been released about some of the sessions that take place at the upcoming Connecticut Captive Insurance Forum on April 16 at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Connecticut.

According to the organisers the day will be filled with valuable insights from leaders in the captive insurance industry, including CTCIA members and colleagues.

One of the first panels is entitled: “Leveraging Captives for Access to Global Markets”. The panel discussion will provide an overview of how insurtechs and MGAs can leverage captive insurers to gain access to the US and global markets.

Featured speakers for this panel will include Zora Law, Actuary at Milliman, Gabriel Weiss, chief executive & co-founder at XN Capital, Rachel Jenkins, chief operating officer at XN Capital and Stephen DiCenso, principal & consulting actuary at Milliman.

Another panel is entitled: “Parametric Solutions and Technological Innovations in Evolving Risk Management”. This will address cyber threats, ESG considerations and climate change. Panelists will discuss how AI and the blockchain can be integrated with parametric solutions for climate related risk management and ESG investment strategies.

The featured speakers for this panel will include: Michael Douglas, director of business development at Aon; Dr. Marcus Schmalbach, chief executive at Ryskex; and James Bulkowski, senior manager at Ernst & Young.
