WRCIC hails record attendance at 2024 event
The organisers of the Western Region Captive Insurance Conference (WRCIC) have announced that the 2024 edition shattered previous attendance records with over 225 delegates. The entirety of the program can be viewed on the conference website.
Attendees were treated to a special evening at the Philbrook Art Museum and gardens, where a cultural performance was led by Yancy Red Corn. Corn is best known for his work on the Emmy nominated film, Killers of the Flower Moon (2023), and is an Osage Native American.
The conference provided a unique opportunity for attendees, as three commissioners from the Western Region Captive Insurance Conference joined the meeting for the Commissioners Fireside Chat on April 16th. Commissioner Scott Kipper of Nevada, Commissioner Chlora Lindley-Myers of Missouri, and Commissioner Glen Mulready of Oklahoma took the stage to deliver a fireside chat address to delegates.
In addition, a panel of seven Regulators shared the stage to provide important updates and information on their state activities. Led by moderator Heather McClure, the group took turns answering questions and providing insights.
Renea Louie, chairwoman of WRCIC from Pro Group Captive Management Services, expressed her excitement about this year's conference, stating: “We are so proud of how the conference came together, with a diverse speaker faculty, industry-leading sponsors, amazing networking and a meaningful experience at the Philbrook Museum.”
