Lynch launches Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group

Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group, a Cayman Islands based MGA platform, has been launched, headed by Adrian Lynch in the role of chief executive.

Lynch was previously executive vice president - North America , Bermuda & Cayman at Artex Risk Solutions from February 2021 to September 2023 and was first managing director and then managing director of Aon Cayman as well as captive strategy leader – Americas at Aon from March 2014 to February 2021.

In a statement on LinkedIn Lynch said: “I am delighted to be partnering with Graham McKay and Ruwan Jayasakera as chief financial officer and chief operating officer respectively on this new venture.

“Our services will support current and incoming Reinsurers to the Cayman Market, as well as the larger complex captives. Subject to Regulatory approval, we will have our own insurance manager supporting clients with real time financial reporting and governance risk and compliance technology.”
