Al Rhodes spent over 20 years in the actuarial profession and is the president and senior actuary of SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, located in Nashville. His professional designations include associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA). He founded SIGMA to provide casualty actuarial consulting services to risk managers, brokers, risk management consultants, TPAs and CPAs, and is experienced in the process of developing both traditional and alternative insurance programmes for entities of all sizes and types.

Joe Herbers has over 32 years of consulting experience. His areas of focus include policyholder owned group captives, large deductible and/or self-insured entities, lawyers’ professional liability carriers, Florida property writers and nonstandard auto writers. He is an associate of the CAS, a member of the AAA and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst. He served as long-term member and chair on the American Academy of Actuaries Committee on Property Liability Financial Reporting.

Robert Walling has been in the insurance industry since 1989 and consulting since 1997. He is focused on actuarial studies for captives and self-insureds, enterprise risk management, commercial lines ratemaking and loss reserving, legislative costing, regulatory consulting and litigation support. He has served on numerous CAS and AAA committees, task forces and working groups, several as the chair. He is also a member of the faculty of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.
