Marsh’s Captive Solutions Group includes the Captive Advisory Group, Captive Management Services, and the Captive Solutions Actuarial Group. We have more than 450 colleagues managing more than 1,220 captives globally. In the industry for over 40 years, we have management offices in 18 countries and advisory expertise in retail brokerage offices worldwide. Our Dublin office, Marsh Management Services (Dublin) Limited (MMSD) offers clients the ability to incorporate and operate captive insurance companies without incurring high staff, office, and infrastructure costs.  Our services are designed specifically for each client to complement their existing operations and personnel and to foster a seamless relationship between the captive and its parent organisation.

Information Technology

Marsh’s Captive Solutions Group operates a global in-house software platform that combines both accounting and insurance disciplines and allows the easy reporting of detailed information stored on client programmes, within a secure environment. We can also adapt our reporting to “feed” into client systems, and can provides clients with access to information on a web based medium, marshmanagement.com

Quality Control

We continually review our business processes to ensure that our services are of the highest standard. In-house we have developed a series of Client Servicing Operating Standards (CSOS) which document best practice for all our client servicing teams across the disciplines like policy issuance, claims handling, and cash disbursements.

Global Outreach

MMSD has excellent links with other MMC companies such as Mercer, Guy Carpenter, Marsh (Retail), and Oliver Wyman opening broader avenues of services, advice, and information for our clients.

Ian Clancy
Head of Office

In addition to his role as the Captive Solutions Practice Leader- EMEA Pac, Ian is Head of Office for Marsh’s captive management office in Dublin.  Dublin is Marsh’s centre of excellence for direct writing, having established and managed in excess of forty companies to issue direct policies under the EU Freedom of Services Directive.

Lorraine Stack
Senior Vice President

Lorraine has responsibility for business development along with the co-ordination and management of a number of insurance, and reinsurance companies. Lorraine has been with Marsh for 17 years, the last 11 in Dublin where she assisted a number of high profile captive clients through complex transactions including the recent authorisation of a ground-breaking employee benefit captive program.  Prior to joining the captive management team in Dublin, Lorraine was a casualty broker with Marsh in Boston.

Brian McDonagh

Managing Director

Brian, an 18-year veteran of Marsh, serves as Director of Client Servicing in Dublin.  During his tenure at Marsh, Brian has worked with several high profile clients and was a senior account manager prior to his current position. Brian played a pivotal role in Dublin’s move into non-core client servicing, initially with finance companies and, most recently, on asset backed and risk securitisations.
