Astaara hires marine cyber analyst

Marine cyber risk management and insurance company Astaara has hired Nick Parkes as a marine cyber analyst.

Parkes has previously held engineering roles for both a commercial ferry company and a mechanical and electrical contractor.

Parkes said: “I hope that my knowledge and understanding of ships’ systems, including onboard equipment, communication and design, will add to Astaara’s collective expertise.”

Parkes is the latest in a string of appointments at the Guernsey-based insurer, including a  deputy cyber officer and a senior business development director.
