Bauknight Pietras & Stormer promotes David Ward to partner

Bauknight Pietras & Stormer (BPS) has promoted David Ward to the role of partner.

Ward will take up his post on January 1, 2021 and will assume strategic and operational responsibilities for the South Carolina-based accounting and tax consultancy firm.

Ward joined BPS in 2006 straight out of college, rising through the ranks to become a lead audit professional on BPS’ property and casualty insurance team, which includes regional and national commercial carriers, mutual insurers, captive insurance, reciprocals, and risk retention groups domiciled throughout the US.

His clientele includes energy infrastructure, construction and distribution companies, as well as associations, non-profits and employee benefit plans.

Ward is a member of captive insurance associations in South Carolina, North Carolina and Vermont, and chairs the education committee for the South Carolina Captive Insurance

Association and coordinates its Captive Academy.
