VCIA opens call for sessions for 2027 Annual Conference
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has officially opened its submission window for session and discussion group proposals for the 2027 VCIA Annual Conference.
The deadline for submissions is the end of day on Friday, October 9, 2026. Submissions can be entered at the following website: https://vcia.typeform.com/to/AeF1loip?typeform-source=www.vcia.com
The VCIA explained that it is inviting industry leaders, risk management professionals, and subject matter experts to submit substantive, trend-focused presentation ideas that drive practical, world-class captive education.
Submission Guidelines & Focal Areas To stand out, proposals should go beyond high-level overviews to offer current research, actionable strategies, real-world case studies, and interactive formats. For the 2027 program, the conference committee is particularly interested in proposals addressing:
• Climate & Parametric Risk: Emerging coverage solutions and environmental risk strategies.
• Captive Evolution & Maturity: Advanced topics for established captives, including post-formation line expansion, claims management, TPAs, and fronting structures.
• Global & Cross-Border Strategy: Navigating multinational risk and international operations.
• Benchmarking & Performance Data: Comparative analysis and performance metrics for captive operations.
• AI, Technology & Analytics: Practical applications across underwriting, claims, and regulatory reporting.
• Advanced Reinsurance & Fronting: In-depth, technical insights for experienced practitioners.
The VCIA added that it strongly encourages submissions featuring diverse perspectives, inclusive panel representation, and formats that prioritise audience interaction, hands-on learning, or structured networking over traditional lectures. Multiple submissions from single individuals or organisations are welcome.
