CICA announces 2014 conference programme

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has announced the programme for their 2014 international conference, titled “Captives: Global Opportunities and Solutions”.

Scottsdale, Arizona will host the conference, which will take place from March 9 to the 11th at the Westin Kierland Resort. It will open on the 10th with a keynote address by Tim and Kris O’Shea.

The year’s theme reflects the rapidly changing nature of the captive industry, according to CICA president Dennis Harwick. He said: “events of recent years have taught us that we live in a connected world. Every captive will be affected by what happens outside their domicile, whether it is something that the NAIC does or even what the OECD in Paris does, so we have decided a program that will help you do your job at home while understanding global opportunities and solutions.”

Other program highlights include practices for 831(b) captives and employee benefits for international business.
