Double hire for Marsh & McLennan captive unit

Marsh & McLennan Agency has made a senior double hire, with Derek Martisus and Adam Forstot joining as single parent captive consulting leader and senior vice president, respectively.

Forstot joins from Artex where he was most recently vice president of business development. He is tasked with helping clients navigate the captive selection process, developing new facilities for challenged industries.

Martisus is an internal appointment, joining from Marsh Captive Solutions, and his newly-created role sees him responsible for advising clients across the US on captive strategies.

Both will be part of the Marsh & McLennan Agency captive centre of excellence, reporting to its chairman Steve Norton.

The hires will be based in different geographies, with Martisus working out of Burlington, Vermont and Forstot situated in Greenville, South Carolina.

Norton said: “More organisations are turning to group and single parent captive insurance companies for protection and financial flexibility in response to the increasingly difficult risk and insurance landscape.

“With the additions of Derek and Adam, Marsh & McLennan Agency is better positioned to provide enhanced advice, services and resources to our clients.”
