Great American hires alternative markets business development head


Ohio-based property and casualty insurer Great American Insurance Group has appointed Jennifer Guidry to its alternative markets division as vice president of business development and marketing.

The division specializes in niche program business, offering a variety of traditional and risk-sharing program options on an admitted basis. Products include countrywide workers’ compensation, general liability, property, inland marine, auto, and umbrella, as well as a business owners policy (BOP) and package. Based in Connecticut, Guidry will lead the strategy and execution for the sourcing, due diligence, and onboarding of new program business.

She joins Great American after over 15 years with The Hartford, where she was most recently assistant vice president for product management. She was previously a senior underwriter and marketer with Zurich Financial Services.
