Insurance commissioner to head CCIA Collaborative

Andrew Mais, state insurance commissioner, will deliver the keynote speech at this year’s Connecticut Captive Insurance Association conference, the association has announced.

Mais will kick off the conference, being held live from November 4, with an overview of the growth of Connecticut’s captive industry and comments on the opportunities for the future, according to the CCIA.

Those attending will also hear from Mike Serricchio, managing director and Americas sales leader for Marsh Captive Solutions, hosting a panel of Connecticut captive owners; and Ian Davis of People’s Bank, who will lead a session on catastrophic protection.

Other sessions will look at the changes to auditing standards coming into effect in December, and the future of cannabis and Connecticut’s captive industry, with Captive podcaster Richard Cutcher leading that discussion.

Registration for the conference at “early bird” rates is available until October 8.
