JLT Towner Insurance Management acquires Charter Risk Management


JLT Towner Insurance Management has announced its acquisition of Connecticut-based captive management company, Charter Risk Management.

Thomas Hodson, president and CEO of Charter will head up JLT Towner’s Connecticut office.

Charter was co-owned by The Compass Company Consultants and Hodson, with JLT Towner acquiring Compass’ interest in the company and part of Hodson’s.

Commenting on the deal, Guy Ragosta, CEO and partner of JLT Towner said: “Tom is a seasoned veteran and a well-respected leader in the industry with a great reputation. His knowledge of the industry and experience bringing together large group programs adds to our company’s strengths. Tom’s presence in Connecticut is particularly important, because the state is one of the world’s great insurance centers. We look forward to a fruitful association with Tom.”
