MAXIS GBN appoints regional manager for Western Europe

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN), the international employee benefits joint venture between MetLife and AXA, has appointed Damian Allepuz Lemmens as regional manager for Western Europe.

Lemmens reports to David Schupak, regional director for Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He leads a team of four employee benefits experts in Paris, working with MAXIS GBN’s strategic partners, including brokers, consultants and local member insurers, to develop employee benefits solutions for Western Europe-based multinational companies.

Lemmens has over 16 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has held a number of senior sales and marketing positions. He spent four years at AIG Life Companies and 11 at BNP Paribas Cardif, the captive for the French bank BNP Paribas.

MAXIS GBN has been expanding its regional teams in recent months. In August 2019 it named Aaron Brown as regional manager for the UK and Ireland. Before that, in March, Ricardo Almeida was appointed head of business development.

Schupak said: “There’s significant opportunities for growth in [Western Europe] and with Damian leading our expert team, I’m confident we’ll be able to take real advantage of this.”
