New partners as Canada’s Iridium

Canadian broker and energy sector specialist Iridium Risk Services has appointed two new managing partners. Shelly Swartout and Andrew J Barker have both been promoted.

Swartout joined Iridium in 2008 and has led accounts for a range of exploration and production and oilfield service clients. In her new role, she will lead the human resources and operations teams.

Barker joined Iridium on graduating, starting as a risk technician in 2010. He has also led accounts on a broad range of E&P clients.

“Since joining in 2008 and 2010, both Shelly and Andrew have made an outstanding contribution to the success of our clients and to the success of our firm,” Iridium said in a statement.

“For the past several years, they have been instrumental members of the Iridium senior leadership team as well account leads on a broad cross-section of energy clients, ranging from junior producers to large, multinational, and other complex industry risk managed accounts.

Iridium offers a range of risk management and insurance services to Canada’s energy industry, including captive services through its Barbados domiciled partner, Palm Captive Consultants.
