NFP appoints employee benefits captive leader

NFP has appointed Dale Sagen as employee benefits captive leader and vice president. Sagen joins from EmCap, where he spent four years as a program account executive.

He will continue to be based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

This is the latest addition to the NFP’s captive team, with the insurance broker and consultant making other hires earlier in 2021.

In April, the firm appointed Jonathan McKenzie as vice president and head of US captive management operations in its risk and insurance strategy collective.

McKenzie, who joined from Alterna where he was head of captive management, was hired alongside Ramon Ramos who was appointed as a senior account executive.

That same month NFP poached JT Scherer from Artex as a senior captive consultant for the same business unit.
