R&Q appoints Eamonn Flanagan as non executive director

Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings, the non-life legacy insurance investor, has appointed Eamonn Flanagan to its board as an independent non-executive director.

Flanagan takes up his post on June 1 2020. He has been involved with the London insurance industry since 1984. He began his career with Royal Insurance, where he qualified as an actuary, before moving to a bank to head up its European insurance business. He also co-founded Shore Capital Markets, an independent securities business. He is currently a non-executive director of AJ Bell.

Ken Randall, R&Q’s group chairman, noted Flanagan’s experience in insurance and capital markets, which he said will complement the overall balance of the board.

Flanagan said he had admired R&Q for many years. “I have followed R&Q, a leading specialty insurance company in the US and Europe, as an analyst, and see strong growth potential in its core business lines, programme management and legacy,” he said.
