RSG beefs up E&S and specialty with new hire

Tom Clark will join Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) on March 1, 2021 as executive vice president.

Clark has more than 33 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a particular focus on excess and surplus and specialty (E&S) lines, having formerly served as president of Nationwide E&S / specialty since 2015.

At RSG Clark will be responsible for pushing product development and deepening RSG’s trading relationships with both retail brokers and carriers, working on behalf of RT Specialty and the delegated authority business units within RSG Underwriting Managers.

Pat Ryan, RSG’s founder, chairman and chief executive, noted the group has worked closely with Clark in the past on numerous strategic initiatives, citing his leadership and strategic talent.

Clark said: “This determined team has a proven track record of sustained growth and innovation, making RSG a leader in the industry with limitless potential. I will leverage my broad experience working on the retail, wholesale and agency side of the business to further complement the strategic direction of RSG as they continue to expand their reach horizontally and vertically.”
