Sompo cyber clients to enjoy free email protection

Sompo International Holdings, the Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty re/insurance, is offering its US cyber policyholders complimentary cyber security protection for their emails.

This service is being offered in partnership with SecurIT360, a security consulting firm, and The Crypsis Group, a cyber risk management firm.

Sompo’s cyber clients will have access to SecurIT360 consultants, which will appraise their email security configurations and protocols and provide recommendations that will help them improve their cyber security.

Richard DePiero, senior vice president and US cyber product leader at Sompo International, emphasised Sompo’s commitment to helping its clients proactively address known and emerging cyber risks, including email system vulnerabilities, noting that emails are a common line of attack for cyber criminals.

The service represents “the industry’s first email security review service which expands and enhances the risk management services we provide,” he added.
