SRS appoints Derek Bridgeman and Neil Campbell to team in Europe
Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has hired Derek Bridgeman as managing director in Europe, while Neil Campbell has been named to its European consulting team.
Bridgeman will take up his post on May 18 and will develop and lead the risk consulting practice in Europe, as well as joining the board of SRS Europe, including its pan-European branch offices.
He previously led the international captive advisory practice at Marsh, a role he held since 2017. He also spent over 10 years in Marsh's captive management practice, serving a range of multinational captive owners and special purpose reinsurance entities. He also led Marsh’s EU Solvency II and BEPS initiatives.
Bridgeman said: “Recent industry changes and economic pressures arising from COVID-19 mean that now, more than ever, clients will be challenged to seek opportunities to optimise their overall insurance spend.”
Campbell focuses on its structured reinsurance consulting capabilities, supporting SRS Europe’s risk consulting around captive strategies and complex reinsurance options.
Campbell started his career with ICI’s insurance team in London. He was risk manager for Zeneca and AstraZeneca for 12 years, before joining JLT as leader of its global life science practice. From 2014 he headed up his own consulting firm.

Young said broker owned management firm mergers left SRS as the only credible option for captive owners that are looking for independent, international and unbiased advice.
