Willis Towers Watson builds Guernsey finance practice with two targeted hires

Willis Towers Watson has appointed Alex Steele and Russell Nicholson to its Guernsey financial institutions practice.

Here they will be responsible for client relationships in Guernsey, with Anthony Kay undertaking the same role in Jersey.

Steele joined Willis Towers Watson in 2006 and has served in a number of client development roles. Prior to Willis, she worked for Commerzbank in London within corporate banking.

Nicholson has over 22 years of experience in insurance, initially working for the Guernsey branch of a large South African insurer for three years before joining Willis Towers Watson. He most recently served as a director for the global captive practice.

“We are delighted to announce these appointments which both reflect our commitment to Guernsey based clients by maintaining and strengthening our dedicated local presence," said Chris Jackson, global head of FINEX FI Middle Market.

"Alex’s new role as Client Relationship Manager allows her to apply her wealth of client and customer orientated practical experience to enhance our client service, knowledge sharing and events programme. Russell brings with him a broad technology skillset including key areas such as cyber, security and data privacy. Russell’s experience in these areas will allow us to better support clients in relation to their needs and concerns around these increasingly hot topical areas. Together they are a formidable team.”
