
VCIA issues reminder about May microcaptive webinar
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has issued a reminder about its spring webinar.
Entitled: ‘Understanding IRS Final Regulations on Micro-Captive Insurance Transactions & How They Apply to You’, the webinar will be on May 14th at 2-3pm EST.
The webinar aims to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the IRS's final regulations regarding micro-captive insurance. The session will cover the implications of these regulations for various stakeholders, including taxpayers, captive insurance companies, and related parties. It will discuss rules and trends for the industry as a whole. Attendees will also receive guidance on compliance requirements and best practices to navigate the new regulatory landscape effectively.
The agenda includes an introduction of the speakers, a background on micro-captive insurance, and an overview of the final regulations, including key dates and classifications of transactions. Participants will learn about disclosure requirements, exemptions, and the new streamlined procedure for revoking Section 831(b) elections.
