CAC Specialty expands new healthcare division


CAC Specialty has added Melissa Menard as executive vice president to its newly formed healthcare division. Menard will lead the division alongside executive chairman Kevin Carnell.

The company created the division this year, looking to enhance the senior living practice CAC Specialty launched last year as the first installation of its bid to build a nationwide healthcare-specific risk advisory division. the formal launch announced earlier this month.

Menard will be responsible for driving business development, formulating and implementing sales strategy, and corralling the exceptional resources CAC Specialty commands to construct a healthcare-specific risk advisory division.

According to the company she has a successful history of deploying cutting-edge healthcare sales strategies and managing all functional areas of insurance, in addition to an extensive underwriting background. Most recently, she served as managing director of Brown & Brown’s (formerly Beecher Carlson) national healthcare practice and has held a variety of leadership positions in the industry, including chief of staff for sales and account services at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts.
