With interest rates persistently low and businesses facing significant uncertainty in the currency and other markets, many corporates are looking for alternative solutions, says Ali. Cell captives can offer a number of advantages to clients, especially mid-market companies, that can help them manage these challenges.

Ali elaborates on some of these advantages and the different ways that cells can be used by corporates, and explains why he believes they will prove to be an increasingly important tool for clients in the face of the hardening market. While data about cell captives is limited, the number of cell captives may be set to overtake that of single parent captives, he notes.
