Axa XL bolsters Americas captive team

AXA XL has expanded its Americas captive team with the hire of three new professionals.

Jason Park has joined Axa XL’s Toronto office to lead its proposition across Canada, with a background in distribution, ART and underwriting. He will also support the group’s structured solutions business across the region. He joins after four years at AIG, and before that spent nine years at Zurich.

Stanley Park joins as a senior underwriter for captives and will be based in New York City. He will focus on collaborating closely with all product lines, to deliver captive fronting services to clients and brokers. He joins after five years at AIG and previously worked on multinational captive business.

And Grace Xu has also joined as a senior underwriter for captives. She joined the group in July and is based in Los Angeles and has been serving current captive customers to expand its portfolio.

Announcing the new hires on LinkedIn, Alonso Tello, Axa XL’s regional director for single-parent captives in the Americas, said: “Excited to share that we’ve invested in resource within region, to help grow our captive portfolio across the US and Canada and reach our ambition of being the go-to market for bespoke ART solutions.”

Axa XL restructured its captives offering in the Americas this year, with the group in January announcing the launch of a new alternative risk solutions team with a focus on captives led by Sylvain Bouteillé. Tello joined the group shortly after that announcement.
