Around 250 captive insurance professionals are expected to gather in Chicago today as the Captive Review USA Conference gets underway.
The two-day event will bring together captive owners, risk managers, regulators and service providers to discuss many of the key issues currently shaping the sector, including emerging risks, employee benefits, cyber exposures, artificial intelligence, captive growth strategies and regulatory developments.
This year’s conference agenda reflects the increasingly strategic role captives are playing within organisations, with sessions exploring how captive vehicles can be used to support a broader range of risk financing and business objectives.
Captive owners will also share their experiences throughout the event, offering attendees practical insights into the opportunities and challenges facing captive programmes in today’s market.
The conference will conclude on Wednesday evening with the Captive Review USA Awards, which has already attracted over 180 registered attendees. The ceremony features 26 awards, recognising excellence across the captive insurance industry, and celebrating achievements by captive owners, managers, domiciles and service providers over the past year.
A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Outstanding Contribution Award, recognising an individual who has made a significant and lasting impact on the captive insurance industry throughout their career.
This week’s events will also provide significant networking opportunities for captive professionals to exchange ideas and discuss market developments with their peers.
