Captive manager rebrands as Sotera; unveils CEO

Pro Group Captive Management Services has unveiled that it has rebranded to Sotera Global Management – and appointed a new chief executive officer (CEO).

Renea Louie (pictured), who has more than two decades of experience in the captive insurance industry and was previously its chief operations officer, taken the reins of the firm as CEO.

Louie’s appointment as CEO comes after years of strategic leadership within the firm, where she helped drive success and innovation.

“As I step into the role of CEO, I am thrilled to lead this organization into its next chapter as Sotera Global Management,” said Louie. “This rebranding represents our commitment to growth, adaptability, and excellence. For 20 plus years, we’ve built a strong foundation, and we’re ready to take bold steps forward to serve our clients and partners on a global scale.”

Sotera Global Management will continue to focus on providing tailored risk management solutions through the use of captive insurance structures and assisting organizations in establishing the feasibility, foundation and formation as well as management of captive insurance companies including Pure, Cell, Group, Association, Branch, Risk Retention Groups and more.

Louie also boasts a distinguished record of service in the risk management community. She has served two terms on the ICCIE board, remains active on its marketing committee, and has held key roles with CICA, and many state captive associations. Formerly a director serving six years and a Chairman of CICA, she currently chairs the Western Region Conference. In 2019, she earned the prestigious ICCIE Fellow Status.
