Collinson Insurance creates parametric insurance partnership
Collinson Insurance, part of the Collinson Group, has partnered with Holiday Extras, European market leader in holiday extras such as airport parking, hotels and insurance, to deploy two parametric flight delay solutions.
This partnership provides Holiday Extras’ direct travel insurance customers in the UK with a new parametric insurance benefit that provides instant access to airport lounges, other airport experiences or an immediate cash payout when their flight has been delayed.
In addition, Holiday Extras will be offering a new ‘Lounge on Delay’ product to UK customers, when booking airport carparks and hotel packages, where in the event of a flight delay or cancellation, they can get instant access to over 1,800 airport lounges or airport experiences.
Collinson’s lounge network spans over 1,800 airport lounges and travel experiences in 725 airports across 148 countries.
