Conner Strong and Buckelew appoints president of New York operations
Conner Strong & Buckelew have announced that Bill Motherway will join the company as president of the firm’s New York operations.
A 30-year veteran of the New York insurance industry, Motherway will be responsible for the management of Conner Strong & Buckelew’s commercial property and casualty operations, including business development, with a focus on the construction and real estate development sectors.
Motherway previously served as executive vice president for Tishman Construction Corporation, an AECOM Company, where he oversaw the enterprise risk management programme, including safety and loss prevention, litigation management, disaster preparedness and the administration of corporate property and casualty programmes.
Michael Tiagwad, president and CEO of Conner Strong & Buckelew, says “There are few people in our industry with Bill’s breadth and depth of experience in the property and casualty space and, more specifically, the construction industry.”
While at Tishman, Motherway also served as director of compliance and managed the day-to-day operations of the company’s captive insurance company, which he is credited with launching.
“Having someone of his caliber lead our New York operations ensures that we consistently bring the highest levels of knowledge and experience to our clients.” says Tiagwad.
Motherway will operate out of Conner Strong & Buckelew’s new Manhattan, New York office.
