FERMA 2026 concludes with rallying cry for delegates

The FERMA Forum 2026 has concluded with a speech from Philippe Cotelle, President of FERMA, reflecting on the event, which he said saw leaders from across the industry challenge conventional thinking on a range of critical market issues.

“We have discussed the value of risk management, the importance of prevention and the challenges ahead of us,” Cotelle told attendees. “We have explored how our profession can help organisations anticipate change, make better decisions and build resilience.”

Drawing the event to a close, he urged delegates to use the discussions as a springboard for continuing the dialogue.

“The FERMA Forum 2026 is not an end,” he said. “It is the starting point for continued, constructive dialogue with all stakeholders on the systemic risks that affect our global society. We leave Rotterdam with renewed motivation for FERMA to play its role: bringing people together, strengthening partnerships and advancing the contribution of risk management across Europe and beyond.”

Cotelle concluded by revealing the location of the FERMA Forum 2028, telling delegates: “See you in Milan!”

Gabriella Fraire, board member of FERMA and president of ANRA, said: “Milan is an ideal host city for the next event. As Italy’s economic centre and a major hub for industry, innovation, fashion and design, it offers a unique combination of commercial importance, cultural heritage and forward-thinking ambition.

“The city provides an inspirational setting for discussions about the challenges and opportunities facing our profession. We look forward to bringing people together at the FERMA Forum 2028 to share ideas, experiences and knowledge, strengthen our partnerships and support the continued advancement of risk management across Europe and beyond.”
