Gallagher Bassett appoints new consulting director

Gallagher Bassett (GB) has appointed Ashley Easen (pictured) as the director of consulting, leading the combined efforts of the risk consulting, claims consulting, and training solutions teams in the UK.

Easen brings 25 years of experience in the risk management industry to her new role, and has been a key figure at GB since 2016.

Joining her in this strategic initiative is Julian Nicklin, head of claims consulting. Together, they aim to enhance the range of consultancy solutions offered to clients, delivering bespoke solutions to complex challenges.

“GB’s Consultancy Solutions division can develop programmes to address any need of our clients,” said Easen. “Our staff are highly motivated and have exceptional technical knowledge in their fields of expertise. They work with our clients to deliver effective, bespoke services and products which address their biggest pain points and help them grow.”

Nicklin, with 17 years of experience in consultancy, added, "We’re experts in consulting; whether a client requires assistance with claims audits, legacy claims, or burst resourcing, our team of experts are capable of delivering superior outcomes however complex the requirements are."

GB said that its consultancy solutions division prides itself on its ability to service any challenge that requires a tailored solution. From virtual delivery of accredited training to building reliable burst resourcing teams and resolving legacy claims, the team has delivered countless positive outcomes for GB clients over the years.

Commenting on what this means for the market and its clients, Easen said, “The insurance industry is becoming more complex every day, which means that a standard approach to claims and risk management can fall short when applied to a complex challenge. I’m excited to see the positive impact our combined expertise and capabilities will have for our clients, and trust that our agile approach will drive this.”
