HDI Global appoints CFO of UK & Ireland

HDI Global has appointed Simon Hunt as chief financial officer of its UK & Ireland branch.

Hunt, the current chief financial officer of HDI Global Specialty - UK branch (HSUB), a subsidiary of HDI Global, will be responsible for both HDI Global UK & Ireland branch (HDIG) and HSUB Finance and Risk functions in the UK and Ireland.

Hunt will continue to report to Richard Taylor, CEO of HDI UK & Ireland, with an additional reporting line to Stephanie Ogden, Managing Director of HDIG.

Hunt will retain responsibility for HSUBs Operations division. His appointment comes as a result of former CFO Richard Mangion departing the post at the end of August.

Taylor said: “Simon continues to do a fantastic job for our UK specialty business; in three years he has transformed our Finance and Operations functions. With his role now spanning our commercial and specialty business, it will enable us to deliver a consistent approach across all three branches in the UK and Ireland.”

Ogden added: “I am pleased to welcome Simon to the executive team at HDI. I look forward to working with him in his new role as CFO for both organisations.
