ICCIE reminds on Cayman Captive Forum webinar

The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) has issued a final reminder about its hot topic webinar, which is taking place live at the Cayman Captive Forum 2024, which takes place in the Cayman Islands this week.

The webinar, entitled ‘Insurance Provisions – Considerations When Selecting Your Recorded Reserve’ will be on the first day of the conference, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 4 p.m. – 4:55 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The presenters for the webinar will be Scott Anderson of Actuarial Advisors, Rob Gilligan of Innovative Captive Strategies and Adam McSharry-Downie of KPMG.

ICCIE said that the webinar will include detail on interpreting the figures presented in an actuary report and the terminology used, particularly around risk margins or confidence levels – what they mean and how they vary from entity to entity and from year to year.

These concepts will then be discussed in the context of financial reporting and what the accounting requirements ask, along with the perspective of a captive consultant on what they see and hear from their clients.
