IMAC appoints new chairman
Rob Leadbetter has been appointed as the new chairman of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman. He will take over from Clayton Price, who Leadbetter worked with extensively over the past two years.
Leadbetter takes over during an active time for the Cayman captive industry, which last year welcomed 53 new entities to its shores, with a further 14 licenses already issued this year. Total industry premiums have reached $11.8 billion and total assets under management $88.1 billion, their highest ever levels. Leadbetter will face challenges and opportunities as he assumes leadership of the IMAC.
