KPMG Bermuda has named Kijali Jean-Marie as the latest recipient of its captive insurance scholarship and internship programme, as the firm marked the successful completion of the initiative’s first year at the Bermuda Captive Conference, Captive Review reports.
The programme, launched in partnership with the Bermuda Captive Network and specialty reinsurer Park Indemnity, was created to attract more Bermudians into the captive insurance industry through a combination of financial support, mentoring and practical work experience.
Speaking during a conference session, KPMG representatives highlighted the progress of one of last year’s inaugural recipients Kiara Burcher, who is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Analytics at the University of Western Ontario and working as an actuarial summer intern at KPMG Bermuda.
