MAXIS GBN appoints new US business development head

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) has appointed Brian McCarthy (pictured) as Regional Manager – US East Zone within its global business development team.

In his new position, McCarthy is responsible for outbound business development across the eastern US, and will lead the existing regional BD team, ensuring MAXIS’ clients, network members and intermediaries in the region receive the best possible service.

McCarthy joins MAXIS GBN from IGP (International Group Program) where he was assistant vice president of business development for 14 years, having been at the company for more than two decades in total. He has extensive experience in global benefits and captive reinsurance, specifically in product development, client strategy, business planning and goal setting. He lives in Boston and holds a degree in business, management, marketing and related support services from Boston College. 

McCarthy said: “I’m delighted to have joined MAXIS and look forward to using my expertise to lead the impressive regional Business Development team to new heights. I’m eager to get started and build strong relationships with our clients and partners to ensure they receive the best possible service from us.”
