Midwest Insurance Agency hires captives veteran

Nebraska-based independent insurance agent Midwest Insurance Agency Alliance has hired Denise Zabka as an agency development field specialist.

Zabka has joined the business after seven years as agency manager for captive insurance business Farm Bureau Financial Services. Before that, she was 20 years at Farmers Insurance, where she was district manager.

At Midwest, Zabka will oversee agency development and consulting services of MIAA member agencies in Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota and work with MIAA regional vice presidents Clayton Gravatt and Brian Boeshans.

“Denise draws on a strong background in business development and agency operations that will be instrumental in this role,” said Doug Meacham, President and Chief Operating Officer of MIAA. “She has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities local agencies are facing, including start-ups. We are very pleased to have her join the team.”
