The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) has announced that Zach Almond will become president & chief executive of the association on October 1st, 2025.
Almond was introduced at the Opening Plenary of the 2025 NCCIA Annual Conference.
He replaces Thomas Adams, who has served in the position since the inception of the NCCIA in 2013 and who will retire on September 30th.
The Executive Search Committee of NCCIA interviewed a group of qualified candidates earlier this year. Almond was the unanimous recommendation to the Board, which ratified the selection.
Currently, Almond serves as a Partner at Almond Miner Government Relations, lobbying various causes for clients, including NCCIA, and focusing on business development and strategy for many companies and organizations.
Lea Riddle, chair of NCCIA, said, “Tom Adams' service to NCCIA is invaluable and reflected in the growth of our organization and the North Carolina domicile. We look forward to Zach Almond’s leadership to continue this trend.”
