New US captive head at Howden
Philip Stack (pictured) has announced that he has joined Howden to lead its alternative risk & captive practice, as Howden continues to build its retail presence in the United States.
In a statement on LinkedIn Stack said: “This is a unique opportunity to build a practice from the ground up—one focused on helping clients take a more thoughtful, holistic approach to risk. I’m incredibly energised by what we are building and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented, entrepreneurial organisation.
“Lastly, I want to sincerely thank my former colleagues at Lockton. Working alongside so many exceptional professionals helped provide the foundation that enables me to step confidently into this next chapter. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead and to partnering with clients and colleagues as we build something truly differentiated.”
Stack was previously senior vice president, senior risk finance consultant at Lockton Companies, which she joined in April 2020 before leaving in February 2026, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Before that he was senior vice president at Marsh from March 2004 until April 2020, again based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
