AGCS offers unbundled captive fronting services in parts of Europe

Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS), Allianz’s corporate insurance carrier, has established a new business called AGCS Services that provides unbundled captive fronting and crisis management solutions, as well as risk consulting.

AGCS Services is currently available in central and eastern Europe (CEE) and the Mediterranean region.

AGCS has traditionally offered risk consulting and insurance services as part of wider insurance coverage, but is now offering it as a standalone product through Allianz Risk Consulting. It provides managers of corporate self-insurance programs advice on issues such as Solvency II compliance, as well as financing and reinsurance to manage their risk exposures.

Crisis management solutions enable companies to respond effectively and quickly to any claims or crisis scenario, reducing cost and reputational damage, while risk consulting services include predictive risk analytics and monitoring, risk visualisation and risk mitigation and prevention.

Hartmut Mai, an AGCS board member responsible for regional units in CEE, Mediterranean and Africa, said: “By introducing a suite of value-added services we enhance our offering and allow our clients a broader choice as they can now opt for specific service solutions.”

Tina Baacke, global head of AGCS Risk Consulting and project lead for AGCS Services, said: “We are able to provide a holistic services suite, from traditional to innovative offerings, and we are launching them in an agile way – working closely with clients to explore and develop new initiatives.”
